Inspired by the Netfilx series ‘Stranger Things’, the painting elicits a strange world which leads the viewer on an inner journey to make sense of what is before them. Is that a sea in the foreground, or rocks and mountains? Is there a structure in the distance, or is it a random construction? Beneath the web-like ‘sky’, what we will find beyond it? The painting was a passage of deep contemplation during its creation, bringing forth both daydreams and sleeping dreams, before its final completion.
