The Isle of Man Steam Packet Ship King Orry 1V depicted in 1949. She has just departed Douglas following a storm, bound for Liverpool. Though the sky is clearing, the sea still runs high and the ship has to punch here way through large waves. If you have experienced such a ship and sea you can feel the the ship rising, stalling and shuddering, before plunging down as she rides the waves.
